What is a creative rebel?

What's a creative rebel? You'll find out in this article.

I get this question a lot.

The other thing I get a lot is people saying they're NOT rebels.

Thing is, when I look at the people who say they're not rebels, they're the biggest rebels out there, and they're just insecure because "rebel" sounds like some sort of activist or revolutionary who changes the world and breaks rules on a daily basis. Nope. A creative rebel is nothing like that.

A creative rebel is a creative person who does things in their own way instead of following what everybody else says. It is not the one who makes noise or draws attention to themselves, but the one who remains steadfast and true to themselves.

It doesn't matter what they look or sound like, what clothes they wear, what their websites look like or anything superficial like that. We are going deeper than skin tone, wardrobe, and language here. We're going straight to the CORE:

To who you are and how you choose to live your life. And whether you take the road made for you or you carve your own path.

So creative rebels...

  • don't follow every trend out there

  • don't say the same things everyone else is saying

  • don't have samey brands, or brands that look like everybody else's

  • create businesses and brands that are unique and authentic

  • make unexpected connections between things

  • figure out fun solutions to problems

If you know someone like that, give them a shout below in the comments!

Here are just a few creative rebels that come to mind:

In my humble opinion, the Internet needs more authentic and unique voices, voices that are unpredictable and distinctive, voices that make us THINK, not follow.

The more creative rebels we gather in the same place the better...

Is there really a place for the creative rebels out there?

Why yes, and it is called the Creative Rebel Academy - where creative rebels meet, support each other, and learn together. It so happens that Season One has just launched, and the wonderful human beings above are the rebel instructors! It has been so amazing and fun to work with them toward bringing you this unique, transformative, and rebellious experience.

(Update: The program completed in June 2017, but whether it launches again or not, we'll always have violetanedkova.com to keep us together!)

Now it's your turn!
