Orientation:
YOU ARE HERE!
Hey multipassionate!
THIS IS FOR THOSE OF US WITH TOO MANY IDEAS.
It is in a multipassionate’s Nature to have a lot of ideas because we need this element of novelty to get excited, and when one idea fades, another comes to take its place.
If this happens too often, we run the risk of getting distracted, overwhelmed, or paralyzed with choice. We must find a way to achieve creative focus, commitment, and completion, to be professional. And I believe the secret lies in honoring every new idea.
Lesson 1: Honor Your Ideas
Simply honoring your truth, ways, and callings is not enough.
You also have to HONOR YOUR IDEAS. Here's why...
Lesson 2: How to Achieve Creative Focus
If you don't honor each idea in one way or another, you might get distracted, overwhelmed, and even become indecisive. Let's see how to 1) vet ideas 2) log them in for later and 3)commit until they're completed. This is where the real work is done. Good luck!
Lesson 3: The Regular Check-in
Finally, something to do after you commit... THE CHECK-IN!
This is where you have permission to drop your project. Still, I hope you'll soldier on.
STORYTIME!
This is how I un-became the insecure creative and became something else entirely:
A professional and prolific creative who shows up to the page every single day.
Are you ready for the transformation that needs to happen?
